2022 NCS Take the Hill 5K Runners
WHEN: Sat., Sept. 28, 2024
8:30AM Kids' Fun Run :: 9AM 5K WHERE: North Cross School, 4254 Colonial Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24018 The 5K is CHIP TIMED by Run Roanoke WHO WE ARE/CAUSE: Take the Hill is a North Cross School Parents’ Association Fundraiser. Find out more about NCS here. ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? Yes, you are! Join us for our 7th annual Take The Hill! 5K and Kids' Fun Run on September 28, 2024. Bring the whole family and your friends for a morning of fitness and fun. The 5K will conquer one of Roanoke's most challenging cross country courses located on the beautiful North Cross Campus, including our infamous hill. Be sure to sign up before prices increase on August 28. If you do, you'll be entered for the 5K $250 Run About Sports gift card raffle and the Kids' Fun Run two $20 Sugar Magnolia gift card raffles! To guarantee a race day shirt and a personalized race bib, you have to register by August 28. Online registration ends at midnight on Thursday, September 26. There will be NO race day registration. T-shirts and personalized race bibs are not guaranteed after Aug 28. We've got lots of fun for the kids, including activities and face painting! There will be a Fun Run starting at approx. 8:30AM. It will make a 0.8-mile loop around the hill at Fishwick Tennis Center.

NOT UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? That’s okay! You can donate to the cause. All donators or honorees will be entered in a raffle to win a special one-of-a-kind blanket made from their favorite t-shirts by Sport-Quilts. The winner does not need to participate in Take the Hill. This blanket is valued at over $200. Your donation is tax deductible. Check back in Spring of 2024 for the link.

HEAD OF SCHOOL FOR THE DAY & OTHER ITEMS:
Don't know any runners but know a NCS Student? You can buy an entry for any NCS Student in the 'Head of School for the day' raffle. That student does NOT need to be registered in Take the Hill. Each student will receive one entry for every $50 donated in their name. Mrs. Lemon and Senior Staff will tailor the day for that student. A lunch with Mrs. Lemon and two friends is included. Put the students' name in the checkout window, 'in honor of', after clicking below. The student must be enrolled at North Cross School for the 2023-2024 school year. Your donation to 'Head of School for the Day' is tax-deductible. Check back in the Spring of 2024 for the link to the Head of School raffle and auction items.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking is limited, so arrive early. Park in the Ellis Hall (Lower School parking lot to the left of the school entrance) or Willis Hall (Upper School parking lot to the right of the school entrance). If these lots are full, proceed to Eaton Hall (Middle School parking lot, stay left past Ellis Hall). Please do not park beyond the orange cones, as this will be designated race jurisdiction. Overflow parking is available across the street from the school on Hooper Field. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions or need assistance, find a volunteer with a name tag and vest on race day.
